Teeth Whitening

Teeth whitening or bleaching is a noninvasive procedure performed by our doctor and our highly trained staff. Typically done to enhance the color of natural tooth enamel and is the simplest and easiest way to amplify your beautiful smile.

The whitening process only works on the natural tooth enamel, so you may need to have an evaluation done to determine any replacement of any old fillings, crowns, etc, which will be done after the bleaching process so they will perfectly match your newly bleached teeth. We recommend this procedure be done in two visits. The first visit is needed to get a mold of your teeth for the bleach trays and the second visit is to ensure the new bleach trays fit on your teeth properly and to make any necessary adjustments.
Reasons for teeth whitening:
Fluorosis (excessive fluoridation during tooth development).
Normal wear of outer tooth layer.
Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, etc.).
Yellow, brown stained teeth.

This is not a permanent procedure, so a touch-up may be needed every several years. Or more frequent if you smoke, drink coffee, tea, or wine.
